What is Company?
Dance Company is San Diego Danceworks performance and competition team. Company combines competitions and conventions throughout the season to give dancers an opportunity to learn from a variety of industry professionals. The purpose of Dance Company is to provide a challenging and supportive environment that promotes growth in both dance artistry and personal character traits.
Our Mission
We approach competitive dancing with a growth mindset, encouraging dancers to compete as a chance to learn, and to grow their own dance skills. Winning is great, but it’s not the only thing that matters. Our Dance Company prides itself on its inclusivity, and our staff works to highlight each dancer’s individual strengths, building a team that draws from a variety of styles and skills when designing choreography. The SDDW Dance Company encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, work ethic, responsibility, dedication and self confidence through organized rehearsals, competitions and community performances.
