  2. Enrollment: Registration is accepted throughout the year based on class availability. Beginning in March, enrollment opportunities become more limited as classes prepare for the June Recital.  New students pay their $35.00 annual registration fee when enrolling in classes. (Annual registration fees paid in the months of April through July will not be due again until August of the following year.) The $35 annual registration fee for returning students is due by August 5th of every year and will be auto-debited with your tuition.

Tuition

  1. Tuition: August tuition is prorated to reflect a three-week month. Beginning in September, tuition is based on annual enrollment and is divided into equal monthly payments. Monthly tuition remains the same regardless of the number of classes in a month, scheduled holidays, studio closures, or student absences.  Families create a parent portal through Jackrabbit Class. Credit card information is required. Tuition is posted to the Jackrabbit family account on the 1st of each month. Auto-pay occurs on the 5th of the month. You are welcome to go to your Jackrabbit portal and make tuition payments prior to the 5th of the month. A $15.00 late fee will be assessed if tuition is not paid on or before the 5th.

  2. Missed Classes: As a courtesy to our students, classes missed can be made up. Students may make up classes by coming to the same class that meets on another day or by exploring a different style of dance at the appropriate age and level. Family members may also use make-ups to try a class. Students must be enrolled to make up a class. Make-up classes must be taken within 30 days of the missed class. Please consult with the office to schedule your make-up classes. Classes that are currently waitlisted are not available for make-up or trial classes. Make-up classes have no cash value and cannot be carried over beyond 30 days or after a student withdraws from classes.

  3. Dropping Classes: If you wish to drop enrollment from a dance class, please submit a drop request 30 days prior to dropping the class. Students remain enrolled during the 30-day notice period and may continue attending classes.

  4. Pro-rated Tuition: Tuition during the notice period will be prorated based on the student's final enrollment date.

Studio Behavior

  1. In-class Behavior: To create an atmosphere conducive to learning, teachers require focus and respect from students. Students are expected to refrain from talking that is not related to the teacher’s lesson plan, and to mute cell phones and leave them in their bags during class time.

  2. Respect: San Diego Danceworks faculty are dedicated to creating the best learning environment possible for all of our students. All students must respect the structure and teaching style of all instructors. Students who repeatedly disrupt class may be asked to observe class or, if necessary, leave the classroom for the remainder of the lesson.

  3. Tardiness: Please arrive to class, in proper dance attire, 5 minutes before class start time. Entering class after it has begun is disruptive to the teacher and other students, so if your child is tardy, please advise him/her to enter class quickly and quietly.

  4. Food/Drink: No Food or Drink in the studio. Water bottles only. No Gum Chewing

Personal Belongings

  1. Bring a Dance Bag: Please bring all personal items, in a sealable dance bag. Loose items are liable to get lost, or picked up by another student.

  2. Label Items: Please label all personal items including dance shoes with child’s name in permanent ink.

  3. Lost & Found/Donation Policy: Unclaimed/unlabeled items will be donated at the end of each month. Please do not bring valuable items to the studio.
