FAQ’s

 

What should I wear to audition?

Tight fitting clothing in a solid color.  Hair should be neatly pulled back off the face and in a bun.  Ballet, turning shoes or jazz shoes.

 

Am I guaranteed a part in the production?

Yes, everyone who auditions will be placed into an ensemble and/or solo role.

 

When are rehearsals?

Every Saturday, September 16 - December 9, at San Diego Danceworks. Rehearsals will be scheduled between the hours of 1 pm and 7:00 pm starting Saturday September 16. A schedule of who is needed at what time every week will be sent out two weeks in advance.

 

What if I cannot make it to auditions?

Contact our office and we would be happy to work with you.

 

How much will it cost?

There is a $125.00 production fee plus one hour will be added to your monthly tuition for October, November, and December. These fees cover theater costs, choreography and coaching, and rehearsal space.  There will be an additional $50 - $100 costume fee per costume.

 

Do I have to be enrolled in classes at SDDW?

Yes. Dancers participating in the production must be enrolled in one class a week at Danceworks
